Here in Saluda, restaurants are only allowed (legally) to serve beer and wine.
Hopefully some day in the near future town council will vote to allow liquor to be served in restaurants as well. All of the other surrounding area small towns like Saluda have already voted it in. As always moderation is the key as is having responsible owners serving it.
NC has quickly become a beer crafters paradise. With that in mind we opt to only have local crafts on tap. We have 6 to choose from at this point (small batches to insure freshness) one of which is always a hard cider as well.
We also have a variety of domestic and other crafts in bottles and cans so if you are taking your pizza to go you can also purchase beer to go home with you. As always we ID, no exceptions.
Local crafters that we have on tap or have had on tap include, Boldrock, Boojum, Catawba, Ciderworks, Greenman, French Broad, and the list is always expanding. You can send us a message on facebook and ask what we have on tap currently.
Flights - not sure which craft will go best with what you are eating? New to the area and want to try various types of crafts? We have you covered.
We now have Flights in which you can choose any 4 of the local crafts we have on tap. You can double up on the same brews or pick 4 different crafts.
Generally we have 1 IPA, 1 Amber, 1 wheat, 1 Cream, and 1 dark as well as 1 cider (all from local crafters) to choose from.
We have a smaller assortment of wine at this time, the list includes a Chardonnay, a Cabernet, and Pinot Grigio.
In addition to those we have 2 frozen wines. As close as you can get to a frozen margarita in Saluda (but made with wine). These are sweet but go really well with food.
